Val AKA Trooper found shot with half his leg gone!
In foster care with HSLSC :)  Ready for adoption!!

Picture
Another sad case comes through Lancaster Animal Control!  Poor lil guy was trapped by LAC (saving his life) after wondering for up to 2 weeks out in the woods.  They called HSLSC & he went immediately to our wonderful vet Dr. Pressly!!
Believed he was shot point blank as he would have bled to death otherwise.  The bullet must have cauterized the wound. He is also missing a toe on a back foot. He's a sweet shy lil labby boy looking for love!  Our vet removed the rest of the leg up to the shoulder but don't tell Trooper he's missing a leg because he has no idea :)  Loves other dogs & learning to trust people :)
Ready for adoption, but will be receiving heart worm treatment soon, as he is heart worm positive also.
Donations for his care & surgery are needed & appreciated!
