Horse info & some help for caring for your horse from Clemson Ext.
Please see: http://www.clemson.edu/extension/livestock/livestock/equine/index.html
The newsletters at the bottom of that page are full of information & tips to help feed & keep your horse healthy cost effectively during these trying times.
PLEASE if you cannot care for your livestock DO NOT wait til they are sickly to ask for help, then you are neglecting them, if you cannot care for them properly ask for help before they are skinny &/or sickly.
Animal neglect & abuse & cruelty are REAL crimes with REAL fines! ASK for help before not only is your animals life in danger but before you are in danger of a crime! There is help out there for those willing to seek it, but after an animal is very sickly or dead is TOO LATE! Email us & we can try to help or get you to rescues that can help.....once again........BEFORE THE ANIMAL IS IN DANGER OR SICKLY........... help@savelancasterscpets.org
>>>>>>>If you see an animal looking of questionable health CALL LAC 803-286-8103 and report it, yes, you must leave your name, they cannot go out on calls without out a witness, they just cannot do that, they are limited and have the whole county to take care of, they need people to verify what they have seen when reporting it. Unfortunately this causes many people not to report questionable animal treatment.......well, if you feel the animal may be in danger YOU ARE JUST AS NEGLECTFUL if you do not report it as the person letting it happen, so call & report it.
There are older horses that cannot hold their weight & without going out to see how can LAC find out? Not all skinny animals are due to neglect but please at least find out. Next time you drive by & that animal is down or dead IT WILL BE TOO LATE. Please call LAC & report it, let them find out what's going on: 803-286-8103

Feral cats need help! Please consider donating to spay/neuter a cat that is homeless and feral (not able to be a pet - wild) Killing is NOT the answer!
Please donate below...please let us know it is for the feral fund in the memo...we NEED feral cats. They clean up a LOT more messes than they make...think about it. Killing them is not the answer...more will come...alter the colony, let them live out their lives to keep others out! Upon capture they will go to the vet, they are tested for FIV/FeLV (very contagious cat diseases) if positive they are humanely euthuanized, if negative they are altered (spayed/neutered), given rabies vaccine, and have one ear notched so they are only caught one time :). We cannot do this without help......we have some WONDERFUL ladies that have been trying to get this rolling and we plan to assist them with this fund to alter as many feral cats as possible. Email any questions to us :) info@savelancasterscpets.orgFriends of Feral Felines can help! Contact them: http://www.friendsofferalfelines.org/
Please if you can donate please do so here & add a note that it is for the feral cat fund.
Also if you or anyone you know can take in a cat or more, they are great mousers! Wonderful for farms, barns, etc. They will be spayed/neutered & have rabies vaccine & one ear will be clipped a little to indicate that they have been altered if ever caught again. All they would require is food & water access. Please consider one of these, they will live out their lives keeping rodents out, bugs too! Without any worry of kittens everywhere!!
