Regular adoption fee for pups/dogs is $150 and for cats/kittens $100 which includes, age appropriate, up to date vaccines, spay/neuter & microchip with our vet & spay/neuter clinic scheduling or $40 back to you after required spay/neuter proof is submitted to us. Our vet is in Chester, SC. FAILURE TO SPAY/NEUTER ALLOWS HSLSC TO REPOSSESS THE PET(S) with NO reimbursement for adopter. Spay/neuter is required by State LAW when adopting from any rescue or shelter. Adoption fees may vary depending on the pets history or circumstances. Some older pups/dogs may be less if we do not have to do much to get them adoptable. We are not in this to make money, any funds over what we may have in one dog/cat go towards other that we have more than the adoption fee in their care. We try to keep fees as low as possible, insure good homes that are able to care for the pets, as well as continue to provide for more pets. Please inquire about adopt fee if not stated.

____4) Cats adopted out for indoor only homes unless otherwise stated.
____5) Dogs must be leash walked or contained on your property legally.
____6) If EVER you cannot keep your adopted pet you must first contact HSLSC for placement, if possible, fostering while we find a new home.
____7) Must agree to provide adequate food, water in a bowl of sufficient size or depth to prevent over heating or freezing, shelter from the elements, flea & heartworm preventative, lots of love, & medical attention as needed.
____8) I agree to obey leash laws and keep my pet up todate on vaccines.
____9) If found in violation of this agreement you agree to pay all costs involved to remedy the situation as well as court costs and surrendering of the pet to HSLSC.
____10) I agree to the $150 adoption fee for a dog or $100 adoption fee for a cat which includes: spay/neuter (age appropriate) & microchipping **if done with HSLSC clinics**, only up to date shots & wormings **If done at my vet**. If I choose to use my own vet for spay/neuter, I will receive $40 back after submitting required proof of completion to HSLSC.
